I don’t particularly subscribe to any religion, but I do have core values and principles similar to those in Christianity. I understand H-E-B was founded by a Christian and has incorporated many of their core beliefs into the company which I think is great. However, it doesn’t seem like the currently run H-E-B & Central Market is sticking to their beliefs. It seems more likely that they are caving to the pressures from their leftist customer base to give up their beliefs for the good ole’ Dolla! Thats right. I’ve spoken to a few employee’s of Central Market recently who have been treated unfairly because of their opposition of masks and vaccines. They don’t want to risk being fired at the expense of coming out, but I most certainly want to bring two key points to the attention of people shopping there.

1. The leadership and most staff unspokenly support Biden for no good reason other than the $36 billion dollars in revenue is coming from mask wearing leftists. The company is taking an unspoken political stance as a grocery store? Why? Just to appease the sensitive “safe space” liberals who are triggered by any little signal of conservativeness? This is Texas, where’s the grit? Where the balls? Again comes down to greed and $$. is that Christian?

2. The store has flip flopped on their mask policy ever since Abbott rolled back the official state wide mask recommendation. At first employee’s were not to approach customers without masks and let them shop without altercation. Now it seems they are more aggressive in asking at the door and chase you down to hand you a mask. Some employee’s were thrilled about Abbott’s mask rollback as they don’t want to wear masks, but they are forced to wear them to appease the idiotic liberal leftists madness on personal and societal health practices.

Here’s what I have understood as Christian Values:

Courage – The value is characterized by boldness and confidence. It’s the opposite of fear. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." – Joshua 1:9

Love – Love is a fundamental characteristic of who God is and it’s a value that is to describe His children as well. "We love because he first loved us." – 1 John 4:19

Respect – A Christian value is to be conscious that God has created all people in His image. As a response, we show respect to all. "Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor." – 1 Peter 2:17

Hope – The value of hope is confident expectation. It’s a firm assurance in God. "There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off." – Proverbs 23:18

Peace – There are many aspects of this Christian value mentioned in the Bible. It refers to rest and tranquility and ultimately, peace is a gift from God. "Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification." – Romans 14:19

I don't see any of those values being expressed in these lockdowns and rules. I see quite the opposite. In the 10 years I've lived in Dallas and not myself being Christian I've noticed that many “Christians” here who think they are real “Christians” are really not. The say and act one way to fit in with their neighbors and then act more like Liberal New Yorkers than Freedom living Texans. Maybe it’s up to us transplants and the die hard Texans to take this state back and give it some sense of Freedom again.
